Privacy policy
Short version: we collect as little as we can, we don’t sell anything about you, and we don’t email you unless you wrote to us first.
This policy covers emsonecall.com, the website for EMS — One Call at a Time, published by Born Force Press, an imprint of Born Force Training. Questions about any of it go to hello@emsonecall.com.
What we collect
When you use the contact form. Your name, email address, the service or agency you named, the topic you picked, and your message. That’s it — every field on the form is a field you filled in on purpose.
When you just read the site. Our web host keeps standard server logs: IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, and the time. These are routine security and troubleshooting records, not a profile of you.
What we never collect. We don’t take payments on this site, so no card or billing information ever touches it. We don’t ask for health information, and nothing you write in a journal you bought is connected to this website in any way — a write-in book is paper, and it stays yours.
How we use it
Contact form messages are used to answer you — a question, a correction, or a story you wanted to send. Nothing more.
There is no mailing list on this site. We won’t add you to one, and we won’t send you marketing because you asked a question. If a newsletter is ever added, it will be a box you tick yourself.
Who else is involved
A handful of services make the site work, and each sees a narrow slice:
- Our web host stores the site, its server logs and any form submissions saved in WordPress.
- Our email provider delivers form submissions to our inbox and holds the message afterwards, the same as any email.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces the site uses, which means your browser requests them and Google sees the IP address making the request.
- Retailers. Every Buy Now button leaves this site and opens the retailer’s page in a new tab. What happens after that — your order, your account, your payment — is between you and them, under their privacy policy. We never see it.
We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we don’t hand it to anyone else except where the law requires it.
Cookies
The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. WordPress may set a functional cookie if you log in to the admin area, and your browser caches fonts and images so pages load faster. If analytics are added later, this section will say so and name the tool.
How long we keep it
Correspondence is kept as long as it’s useful — typically no more than two years — then deleted. Server logs roll off on our host’s normal schedule, usually within a few months.
Your choices
Write to hello@emsonecall.com and ask for a copy of what we hold about you, a correction, or deletion. We’ll do it within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may have these rights by law; we’ll honor the request either way rather than argue about which statute applies.
Children
This site is meant for adults working in or buying gifts for emergency services. We don’t knowingly collect anything from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to us and we’ll delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and kept updated. No website is perfectly secure, so please don’t send anything through the contact form you’d be unwilling to send in an ordinary email — and never send patient information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted on this page rather than made quietly.
